Recently, the 12th NXP Cup National College StudentsIntelligent Car Competition Finals came to a close in Changshu, JiangsuProvince. Our school students have achieved excellent results and won 3first-class national finals.
The school attaches great importance to this event, conscientiouslysums up the experiences of previous competitions, plans in advance,concentrates training, and formulates a detailed preparation plan. A total offour teams successfully passed the selection of divisions into the nationalfinals. After three days of intense preliminaries and finals, the team of ourschool continued to glorify and won 3 national first prizes. Among them, the Electromagnetic Team of South-central University For Nationalitiesfrom the Academy of Science and Engineering won the first prize of theElectromagnetic General Group for the second place in the country, theSafety First Team from the School of Telecommunications College wonthe first prize in the Photoelectric Four-Wheel Award for the fifth place inthe country, and the Tongren Shenshui Team of the School ofTelecommunications College won the first prize in the Photoelectric ChasingGroup for the ninth place in the country.
Itis reported that the National College Students Intelligent Car Competitionbegan in 2006, formerly known as Freescale Intelligence CarCompetition, which was entrusted by the higher education department ofthe ministry of education to the teaching steering committee of collegeautomation specialty, has been held for 12 sessions. The event is aimed atundergraduate students across the country. Smart cars are the object of study.They are aimed at strengthening students' practice, innovation and teamwork. Itis an exploratory and creative science and technology engineering practiceactivity. The competition process includes theoretical design, actualproduction, vehicle commissioning, on-site competition, etc. It requiresstudents to form teams and work together. This competition is sponsored by theEducation Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education's Higher EducationAutomation Professionals and co-organized by NXP (China) Management Co. Ltd.The competition is divided into eight divisions zone in the northeast, northchina, east china, south china, west, Anhui, Shandong, and Zhejiang. A total of2,737 teams from 476 colleges and universities across the country participatedin the competition and the competition of 6 items.
