Recently, theChina Scholarship Council has announced the admission notice of 2017 projectrelated to the research and study of young backbone teachers. Our school hasthree Bilingual Teacher Training Research Team project incooperation with the University of Wisconsin-University and University ofWisconsin-La Crosse and James Madison, and the project was successfullyapproved for the selection of the young backbone teachers to go abroad forcolleges and universities in 2017. This is the second time that the school hasbeen approved to go abroad for training after being approved by the StateAdministration of Foreign Experts Affairs to go abroad for training projects.
The school hasgood cooperation and exchanges with three foreign schools. It cooperates withthe University of Wisconsin-Platteville to hold the Confucius Institute, andconducts the Master of English Education program; In collaborationwith the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, it is hosting a software engineeringinnovation talents experimental class . Based on the previous friendlycooperation, the school selected 17 teachers from schools according to theneeds of the development of its own disciplines with the special features ofthe foreign schools, and organized groups based on chemical and biologicalmedicine, information science, and economics and management. The trainingperiod for the Bilingual Teacher Research and Training Program wassix months. The content of the training focused on bilingual education teachingand learning, understanding advanced foreign educational concepts, teachingcontent, and teaching methods. While expanding the internationalization levelof our teachers, it is helpful to promote the updating and promotion of theteaching methods of our school teachers, which is of great significance for theoverall improvement of bilingual teaching, the quality of whole foreignlanguage teaching, and the construction of international courses.
In recent years,the school has continuously increased the selection and policy orientation ofteachers' visits to and study abroad, strived to expand the coverage ofoverseas study abroad and carried out diversified foreign exchanges, and hassuccessively organized the China Scholarship Council, State Administration ofForeign Experts Affairs, and the Hubei Provincial Foreign Experts. Bureaus andother countries have publicized research projects and conducted public schoolvisits and exchanges in due course. So far, more than 200 teachers have beenselected to go to Harvard University, Cambridge University, Stanford Universityand other prestigious international universities to visit. While continuing tosupport foreign teachers who are mainly engaged in scientific researchexchanges to study abroad, the overseas study and study of bilingual teachingteachers and all-English teaching teachers should be strengthened incombination with the school's professional setting and discipline construction,strive to build two levels of bilingual teachers and abroad study system fornation and school, further enrich the forms of international communication andlevel, improve teachers' team and management team of international vision, tospeed up the internationalization of teaching staff construction andsustainable development.
