On Dec. 22, “the second international forum of multiculture and higher education quality assurance” is held in SCUN. The forum is undertaken by College of Education and more than 230 scholars of 100 universities from over 10 countries and regions such as America, Australia, Canada and Taiwan participate in the meeting. Deputy director of National Center for Education Development Research of Ministry of Education and executive vice president of Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy-Zhou Mansheng, former deputy director of International Exchange Division of State Ethnic Affairs Commission and deputy secretary general of Chinese Society of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences-Wu Jinguang as well as vice president of SCUN- Du Dongyun attend the meeting and make a speech and persons in charge of related functional departments of SCUN and partial students from relevant colleges are invited to participate in the forum.
On that morning, the forum kicks off at the academic exchange center. The opening ceremony is presided over by dean of College of Education-Kang Cuiping. At the opening ceremony, Du Dongyun extends a warm welcome to representatives from national colleges and universities and points out the theme of the forum is consistent with the concept of community with a shared future for mankind as well as the theme focuses on multiculture and higher education development and builds an open, comprehensive and shared international exchange platform for higher education. Zhou Mansheng says in the speech that multiculture is the reality of world civilization development and it's necessary for higher education to respect cultural diversity, continuously promote cultural dialogue and improve education quality as well as cope with challenges of worldwide problems.

On that afternoon, two sub-forums themed by multiculture and national education theory research and research about implementation of multicultural education and higher education quality assurance policies are held at the teacher teaching development center and participating experts, scholars and doctoral candidates make featured speeches as well as widely discuss related issues.
Closing ceremony of the forum is held at the teacher teaching development center.
