Recently, the 11th National College Student Computer Design Competition 2018 closed at Zhejiang Gongshang University. SCUN’s delegation achieved outstanding results in the competition, winning four first prizes, seven second prizes and four third prizes.
We attached great importance to the competition and regarded it as an important event. Our School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, School of Literature, Journalism and Communication, Fine Arts Academy, and School of Education undertook lots of organization work for the competition. They orderly carried out pre-competition training, in-university competition, recommendation for the provincial competition, national competition guide, and whole-course safeguard service. Through fierce in-university competition, a total 46 works were selected to participate in the provincial competition on behalf of SCUN. In the provincial competition, our delegation performed very well. We were awarded 14 first prizes, seven second prizes, 20 third prizes, and three winning prizes, with the prize winning rate reaching 95.6%, and 15 teams of SCUN were recommended to attend the national final.
The National College Student Computer Design Competition is aimed at further deepening reform of teaching in colleges and universities, truly improving the quality of computer teaching, and cultivating talents who develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically and have the comprehensive practical ability to use information technology to solve practical problems, innovation and entrepreneurial capability and teamwork awareness. So far since 2008, 10 sessions of the National College Student Computer Design Competition have been conducted with 44 competitions. The 11th National College Student Computer Design Competition, themed “Artificial Intelligence Imagination”, was jointly organized by the Steering Committee for College Computer Teaching, the Steering Committee for Software Engineering Teaching, the Steering Committee for University Computer Course Teaching, and the Steering Committee for Basic Computer Teaching for Students of Liberal Arts of the Ministry of Education, as well as China Youth Association for Adolescents.
