In March 2019, Lin Yihong, associate research librarian of the Ethnology Museum of SCUN, published a monograph entitled Research on Li Brocade's Traditional Craft Culture and Digital Protection, which was published by China Social Sciences Press. This book systematically combs the weaving skills of Li Brocade in Hainan, interprets its cultural connotation, elaborates its artistic value, and discusses the digital protection methods of Li Brocade's crafts, which is fully recognized by experts in the industry.
2011, Professor Lin Yihong applied for the National Social Science Foundation Research Project Research on the Protection of Li Nationality's Traditional Crafts Digital Technology in Hainan Province under the Background of International Tourism Island Construction, which was approved. After that, she conducted in-depth field investigation and grasped the first-hand information, and finally concluded the topic smoothly, presenting the research results of Li Brocade's traditional craft culture and digital technology protection to the public in the form of a monograph. This book systematically combs the history and present situation of traditional Li Brocade craft, Li Brocade pattern and Li nationality costume, deeply and carefully interprets the present situation of inheritance of Li Brocade craft, Li Brocade pattern and Li nationality costume, analyzes and puts forward the present and future protection measures, inheritance methods and dissemination methods.
The book has been fully affirmed by experts in the industry such as Jia Jingsheng, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts.
