Cheng Wenfeng from SCUN Won the Title of "Advanced Worker of National Disabled Persons' Federation System"

On May 16, the sixth national self-improvement model and disabled advanced commendation conference was held in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, met with the representatives at the Great Hall of the People to express warm congratulations to them and encourage them to make continued efforts to make new contributions to the development of the cause of disabled people in China. Cheng Wenfeng, 1988 alumni of foreign language department of SCUN and President of Jinwan District disabled persons' federation of Zhuhai City, as the only honorary winner of advanced worker of the national disabled persons' federation system of Guangdong Province, was warmly received by General Secretary Xi Jinping and other central leaders together with the participants.

It is reported that the conference is held every five years across the country, and each province selects an advanced worker.

Seven years of working in Disabled Persons' Federation is only a fraction of Cheng Wenfeng's 27 years of working, but she thinks it is the most meaningful work experience. She has done her best to serve the disabled, trying every means to promote the construction of Work Therapy Station, provide rehabilitation training and vocational skills training for the disabled in the community, and call on all sectors of society to jointly promote the employment and entrepreneurship of the disabled. In daily work, Cheng Wenfeng regards himself as a close family member of the disabled, and takes the initiative to leave his mobile phone number and WeChat to the service object. A phone call may really save a life.

General Secretary Xi Jinping's kind care and warm-hearted encouragement make me feel heartened and warm. In the future, I will work harder with my heart, so that I can shoulder this responsibility and live up to this honor. Cheng Wenfeng said that this award is not only an affirmation, but also a spur.
