New semester, having 6676 new students from all ethnic groups entered into SCUN in 2019. In view of the large number of students from ethnic minority families with financial difficulties, SCUN adheres to the educational philosophy of not allowing one student to drop out of school due to family financial difficulties and not leaving one student behind due to academic difficulties. It integrates the fundamental task of fostering morality and cultivating people into the whole process of student financial assistance and education work, earnestly implements the state financial assistance policy, and takes many measures simultaneously. The seven-in-one financial assistance system of award, loan, assistance, diligence, reduction, exemption, compensation ensures that every new student from financial difficulties can smoothly enter school.

During the summer vacation, SCUN organized the teachers and students travel thousands of miles, give their youth to the motherland frontier tour. it sent 6 home visiting groups and 4 city visiting groups to Xinjiang, Tibet, inner Mongolia, Qinghai and other places to visit 106 families of students with financial difficulties. It also specially visited some freshmen of border ethnic minorities to publicize the subsidy policy. At the same time, with the admission notice, the school mailed the Guidelines for Freshmen Admission and Brief Introduction to Student Financial Assistance Policies in Universities, opened a hotline for summer student financial assistance, set up a special page on the student financial assistance network, and used Wechatpublicaccounts such as the student financial assistance management center to send out financial assistance policies of the state and schools.
During the welcome new arrivals period, SCUN have implemented double green channels online and offline. Freshmen can apply for green channel approval and pay fees through the online system. SCUN handled green channel procedures for 1,340 new students from poor families at the scene, with a cumulative deferred payment cost of nearly 10 million yuan.
At the beginning of the freshmen's admission, SCUN have distributed big love bags including bedding, toiletries, stationery and other materials to 500 freshmen with financial difficulties from their families. it also distributed subsidies and military training clothing to some freshmen with special financial difficulties from their families. In addition, with the accuracy of information after freshmen enter school, the school also plans to distribute clothes, quilts and winter vacation travel subsidies to freshmen from poor families before the winter vacation. A series of funding activities are budget to invest more than 1.2 million yuan in this special funding.
