Located in the Chungcheong region in south-central Jeollabuk-do province, Chonbuk National University is one of the 24 national comprehensive universities approved by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources of Korea. Among the 24 universities, Chonbuk National University is one with the longest history and the largest campus area.

The International Cooperation Project between South-central University of Nationalities and the Chonbuk National University include undergraduates non-degree exchange program, undergraduate "2+2" double degree programs, and postgraduate programs. The project covers all the majors in Chonbuk National University.

Undergraduate non-degree exchange program is a exchange program for undergraduates between SCUN and Chonbuk National University. Our exchange students will study in Chonbuk National University for six months or one year. During this period, exchange students pay tuition to SCUN while studying in Korea. Chonbuk National University provides accommodation to the exchange students, and the exchange students pay living expenses by themselves. To apply for the program, students should provide necessary documents and meet the requirements:

1understanding Korean, and language proficiency reaching Level 4 (students who do not know Korean should take language course at first in Chonbuk National University);

2having excellent academic performance.

Undergraduate"2+2" double degree Program also aims for undergraduates. To attend this program, students should take the courses for the first two years in SCUN and finish the courses of next two years in Chonbuk National University. Students can obtain diplomas from both universities after completing all courses. Chonbuk National University will provide scholarships to excellent students. After graduation, students may apply for postgraduate program in any Korean university.

For this program the students are required to meet the following requirements:

1finishing courses of the first two years in SCUN;

2understanding Korean, and language proficiency reaching Level 4 (students who do not know Korean should take language course at first in Chonbuk National University)

Graduate Program is the corporative program at the postgraduate level. Senior students are entitled to apply for the program. Students will take the postgraduate courses in Chonbuk National University and they have to pay all the expenses on their own. Students majoring in science and engineering can participate in their supervisors’ research programs and obtain certain funds. After graduation, graduates can apply for doctoral program in any Korean university. Applicants for this program must provide necessary documents and meet the requirements:

1graduation certificate;

2school report with average score over 75 points;

3understanding Korean, and language proficiency reaching Level 4 (students who do not know Korean should take language course at first in Chonbuk National University)
