SCUN Signed Cooperation Agreement with COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan

On the morning of April 1, a delegation of four members from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan, headed by Director Abdul Waheed paid a visit to SCUN. The two parties signed cooperation agreement.

Prof. Li Jinlin, President of SCUN, met the visiting guests and exchanged views with guests on topics to the interest of both parties. Directors of Office of International Affairs, School of International Education, and School of Pharmacy attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Wang Shizhong, director of Office of International Affairs.

In the meeting, Li Jinlin first expressed his welcome to the delegation of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, and briefly introduced the relevant information about SCUN. He hoped that both universities could promote the cooperation in exchange of teachers, researchers, students, and high-rank officials, cooperation in academic studies and co-construction of laboratories. Li Jinlin said that the cooperation between two universities is beneficial to both sides, and beneficial to the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the strategy “the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road.”

Afterwards, Abdul Waheed delivered a speech. He expressed his appreciation to President Li Jinlin, and sincerely hoped that President Li would visit COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. He briefly introduced his university, and said that there were lots of similarities and complementarities between two universities in school-running and discipline constructions. He sincerely hoped that both universities could build up practical inter-university cooperation relationship.

After the meeting, Li Jinlin and Abdul Waheed, on behalf of two universities, signed “Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Exchange and Cooperation”. Both parties exchanged presents and took group photos.
