Recently, it was learned from the National Feed Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that the three kinds of "Clenbuterol Test Strips" jointly developed by the research team of SCUN's School of Life Sciences and Wuhan Shangcheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. have successfully passed product quality verification.
The main evaluation indicators for product quality verification by the National Feed Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs include: false negative rate, false positive rate, and actual sample detection capabilities. This product quality verification used pig urine as the sample matrix (previously confirmed by LC-MS/MS methods respectively), with 20 negative pig urine and positive pig urine used for verification respectively. The test results showed that the three types of Clenbuterol Test Strips, i.e., clenbuterol (Clen), ractopamine (Rac) and salbutamol (SAL) provided by Wuhan Shangcheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. had 0 false positive rates and false negative rates, all passing the product quality verification of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Since 2016, the School of Life Sciences of SCUN has established a good industry-university-research cooperation relationship with Wuhan Shangcheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and jointly established a food safety testing industry-university-research base. In the past five years, the relevant research team of the School of Life Sciences has actively strengthened the close ties with the R&D team of Wuhan Shangcheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., helping the company overcome technical problems, improve integrated innovation, digestion, absorption and re-innovation capabilities, and promote the company to continuously develop new technologies and launch new products , and to improve the performance, quality and efficiency of products, and fruitful results has been achieved. In 2017, the cooperation results of the two parties in the field of rapid detection of clenbuterol, "β-stimulant residue rapid detection technology and application" and "Phenethanolamine A colloidal gold rapid detection card product development and application" successfully passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of Hubei Province, reaching the domestic leading level.
