Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the 2020 national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction list. SCMZU’s seven majors, including law, ideological and political education, communication engineering, computer science and technology, accounting, administrative management, and environmental design, were selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction, and ten majors including advertising, polymer materials and engineering, automation, chemical engineering and technology, food quality and safety, bioengineering, pharmaceutical preparations, pharmaceutical analysis, musicology and dancology were selected as Hubei provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

Up to now, the school has 14 national-level, 20 provincial-level, and 4 school-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and has initially established a national, provincial and school-level system, laying a solid foundation for SCMZU to establish a high-level talent training system and achieve high-quality development of undergraduate education and teaching.
