To strengthen student admission publicity during the COVID-19 epidemic, recently, SCMU launched online student’s enrollment publicity.
The online publicity was launched on April 23 for 13 provinces, autonomous regions and cities. In each live-streaming publicity activity, teachers from Admission Office of SCMU introduced the basic situation of SCMU and its admission policy, and invited experts from one or two schools of SCMU to introduce discipline construction and specialty construction of their schools. The face-to-face communication with students can fully display the advantages and characteristics of SCMU and attract high-quality students.
Now, the live-streaming activities for Guangxi, Hunan and Hubei have been completed. All schools of SCMU have attached great importance to this event, and their deans and professors have participated in the live-streaming activities. Professor Zhang Daohong, dean of the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, introduced the basic situation of the school, the status and role of chemistry and materials science, and our chemistry and materials”. Professor Hu Junhao, dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, introduced the general situation of the school, the specialties, the development of the disciplines, the situation of employment, and the new major of data science and big data technology.
These live-streaming admission publicity activities are promoted jointly by SCMU, Toutiao.com and ixigua.com, and it will last more than 20 days. The activities have been highly praised with more than 1,000 viewers watching each live streaming. After the activities are over, the Admission Office will upload the live-streaming videos onto SCMU’s undergraduate admission information website to promote the scope and effect of the publicity.
