Fudan University Signed Employment and Entrepreneurship Agreement With SCMZU

On the eve of the Youth Day this year, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued the Written by Zhong Wenyong

On the morning of May 14, Fudan University and SCMZU signed Fudan University- South-Central Minzu University Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship One-on-One Assistance Agreement online. Yin Dongmei, deputy secretary of the party committee of Fudan University; Song Fajun, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of SCMZU; and heads of relevant departments of the two universities attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Jian, vice director of Office of Student Affairs, vice director of Graduate School, and director of Office of Student's Admission and Future Career.

Luo Yinghua, director of Graduate School of Fudan University, gave briefings about the cooperation between the two universities in sharing employment information and providing employment guidance services since the establishment of the partnership between the two universities, and explained the next steps of their cooperation. 

On behalf of the two universities, Yin Dongmei and Song Fajun signed the Fudan University-South-Central Minzu University Graduates Employment and Entrepreneurship One-on-One Assistance Agreement”, and the partnership between the two universities in employment and entrepreneurship was established online.

On behalf of the teachers and students of SCMZU, Song Fajun expressed gratitude to Fudan University for its great help in employment and entrepreneurship of SCMZU. He introduced the general situation of SCMZU and the work of employment and entrepreneurship since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic. He said that Fudan University had done a lot in providing SCMZU with employment information, employment channels, employment resources, employment guidance, employment management, and cooperation between departments, and that SCMZU would cherish the golden opportunity to make full use of Fudan University’s assistance and to achieve satisfactory results in ensuring students’ employment. He pointed out that the advanced working concepts, innovative working methods and high-quality resources of Fudan University had expanded the channels for the employment and entrepreneurship work of SCMZU. He hoped that the two universities would seize the opportunities and carry out a series of supporting activities so as to promote the cooperation in six aspects of employment and entrepreneurship, establish the long-term multi-channel cooperation mechanism, establish a mechanism for exchanges of ideas and mutual visits, and complete the task of establishing partnership between universities assigned by Ministry of Education.

On behalf of Fudan University, Yin Dongmei expressed her respect for the teachers and students of SCMZU who had made great contribution to epidemic prevention and control, and employment and entrepreneurship. She said that the establishment of the partnership with SCMZU had reflected the important political responsibility and full trust the Party Central Committee and Ministry of Education had placed on Fudan University. On the occasion of the 100-day sprint activity for graduates' employment and entrepreneurship, based on the preliminary work, Fudan University would continue to promote work in the following three areas: strengthen market expansion and make good use of the geographical advantages of the Yangtze River Delta to channel more regional employment resources and enterprise to graduates of SCMZU; promote one-on-one assistance and cooperation between departments of the two universities relying on the characteristic resources of the departments; deepen the cooperation between the two universities in students' ideological and political education, party building and youth league building, voluntary service and many other areas. 

Since the beginning of April, the relevant departments of the two universities have actively cooperated with each other and jointly carried out the first comprehensive online job fair, established an exclusive entrance to the online Fudan-SCMZU job fair, and opened the one-on-one” assistance section on their websites, attracting more than 4,500 employers and providing more than 12,000 pieces of job information. In addition, the two universities have jointly carried out online themed Youth League Day activity, in which nearly 300 youth representatives listened to the touching stories of the teachers and students of the two universities working in the front line of the battle against the epidemic. Next, the two universities will promote the cooperation between departments, between specialties and in the construction of employment courses and career planning, the construction of entrepreneurial bases, and graduation thesis guidance. Recently, the two universities have joined hands to offer 3 lectures on industrial sectors, improvement of job-hunting ability and enterprises in Hubei to enhance the confidence of graduates so that they will graduate smoothly and find jobs as soon as possible.

It is reported that the cooperation between Fudan University and SCMZU is based on “Notice on the Establishment of Cooperation between Universities of Hubei Province and Universities of Other Provinces in Providing one-on-one Assistance to Universities of Hubei Province in Employment and Entrepreneurship by General Administrative Office of Ministry of Education”. According to the agreement, the two universities will carry out cooperation in the following six areas: sharing employment information, opening up employment channels, strengthening employment guidance, sharing high-quality teaching resources, carrying out entrepreneurial practical activities, and improving the level of management. At the same time, the two universities will actively carry out cooperative projects in other fields.
