Recently, the Ministry of Education has released the list of second batch of “100 Model Party Branches of Graduate Students” and “100 Model Party Members of Graduate Student” (referred to as “Double 100 Party Building Program of Graduate Students”). Doctoral student Ma Wanling of SCUN was approved as one of the “100 Model Party Members of Graduate Student”, while SCMZU itself was selected as one of the seven universities of Hubei Province among the second batch of universities for “100 Model Party Members of Graduate Student”.

It was reported that the program is launched once every two years amongst colleges and universities nationwide as an important component of the Party building work of colleges and universities and an important impetus for the Party building work of graduate students in the new era. According to the “Notification Issued by the Office of Ministry of Education on Launching the Construction of Second Batch of 100 Model Party Branches of Graduate Students and 100 Model Party Members of Graduate Student amongst Colleges and Universities Nationwide”, 100 model Party branches and 100 model Party members of graduate student have been selected after undergoing processes of organization recommendation, communication and appraisal, concentrated review and publicity of results.

In recent years, the Party Committee of SCMZU attached great importance to the Party building work of graduate students, focused on strengthening the Party organization construction of graduate students, innovating their activities and improving their quality. It has “taken the lead and done the best” in the Party building, promoted the construction of Party branches based on norms and standards and regulated and improved the work done by the Party branch of graduate students. It has organized a talent competition of the Party branches of students and a Party history education and reading class and a training class of ability improvement among secretaries of Party branches of students, and launched education and training among the Party members of graduate student in the new era. As a result, the creativity, cohesiveness and morale of Party organizations of graduate students has been improved significantly. Taking this program as an opportunity, SCMZU will continue to make equal efforts in regulation and cultivation, exhibition and guidance according to the requirements for Party building of colleges and universities in the new era, adopt various measures to improve the Party building work quality of graduate students and provide a strong organizational guarantee for promoting the high-quality development of every undertaking of the university.
