SCMU Party Secretary Leads Delegation to Xinhua News Agency Hubei Branch to Advance Cooperation

On the afternoon of July 16, Bian Jing, Party Secretary of SCMU, led a delegation to theHubei Branch of Xinhua News Agency to promote cooperation between the university and the news agency. Hui Xiaoyong, Party Secretary and Director of Xinhua News Agency’s Hubei Branch, warmly welcomed Secretary Bian and his delegation. He provided a detailed introduction to the news agency’s development history, mission, and its role in serving major national strategies. Hui also summarized the achievements of previous collaborations between the Hubei Branch and SCMU, expressing hope for future cooperation in areas such as education and publicity on fostering a sense of community for the Chinese nation, dissemination of significant academic achievements, and collection of faculty and student image information.

Secretary Bian expressed sincere gratitude for the long-standing support from the Hubei Branch towards SCMU’s development. He introduced the university’s profile and its contributions to the Party and national ethnic affairs, as well as its research and disciplinary construction. Bian expressed hope that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and establish long-term mechanisms for collaboration in areas such as news publicity, talent cultivation, think tank construction, and advisory services, jointly serving major national strategic needs and Hubei’s economic and social development.

Wang Peng, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hubei Branch, along with relevant officials from the branch’s Office, News and Information Center, and Editorial Department attended the meeting. From SCMU, SanLang Zhaxi, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, and Fang Debin, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, as well as relevant officials from the Party and Government Office, participated in the event.
