The event showcased China’s cultural diversity through various artistic performances including songs, dances, and poetry recitations. The performances masterfully blended traditional elements from various ethnic groups with contemporary stage presentations, creating a visually stunning display of Chinese cultural heritage.
The evening began with a dramatic drum dance performance by the ensemble’s dance and folk music troupes. The Yi People’s Group followed with two energetic songs that had the audience waving glow sticks in unison. A highlight was renowned soprano Bian Yinghua’s powerful rendition of “Red Sun Shines on the Borderland”, which celebrated the nation’s development and unity. Young singer Zhaxi Dunzhu created an interactive moment by performing “Sunshine” while moving through the audience, while famous singer Teng Geer delivered four consecutive songs that drew enthusiastic responses from the crowd. A student from the School of Literature, Journalism and Communication, Peng Shuting, described the event as “an amazing concert with distinctive cultural characteristics and spectacular performances”.
