The 2024 Intangible Cultural Heritage Creative Week, featuring the 5th “Most Beautiful National Trend” Cultural and Creative Competition exhibition and creative market, opened at SCMU’s Guanggu Art Gallery on December 20. Sang Langzhaxi, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, attended the ceremony alongside representatives from various departments. Pan Jun, Deputy Dean of the School of Fine Arts, hosted the opening ceremony.
Zhong Li, Party Secretary of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Zou Fanxiu, Party Secretary of the School of Fine Arts, emphasized the event’s role in revitalizing traditional cultural heritage through creative innovation. Sang Langzhaxi presented awards to winning teachers and students before officially opening the exhibition and market.

The creative market showcased diverse cultural products including paper-cutting art, calligraphy, paintings, and ornaments. This year’s event introduced night market sessions and a stamp collection activity where visitors could collect stamps from 16 different stalls to receive a special gift. Yun Yumeng, a 2023 pharmacy student, explained her designs inspired by traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting, featuring natural landscapes and wildlife.

The event, jointly organized by the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the School of Fine Arts, will run until December 27.
