On the morning of September 3, the 80th Anniversary Conference of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was launched at Beijing Tiananmen Square, where Mr. Xi jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission delivered a keynote speech and reviewed the troops.

To deeply remember the revolutionary martyrs, carry forward the great spirit of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and love for the country, our university organized faculty and students to jointly view the live broadcast of the 80th Anniversary Conference of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, reviewing the magnificent and heroic years and basking in a profound ideological and patriotic education.

During the live broadcast, everyone was listening closely to the keynote speech by President Xi Jinping, recalling the arduous journey when the sons and daughters of China united in their hatred for the enemy and braved the national crisis together and realizing the pivotal role and historic weight of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression for the Global War against Fascism. The magnificent scene of the military parade and cutting-edge weapons on the screen, interwoven with historical memories, brought everyone back to the era of national salvation and continuous warfare, experiencing the heroic spirit of the martyrs who were ready to die and fight to the end.

After viewing the ceremony, faculty and students were choked up with emotions and mixed feelings. Teachers indicated that history is the best textbook and the strongest dose of sobriety. We should integrate the great spirit of the War of Resistance into education and teaching and adhere to the mainline of strengthening the sense of Chinese national community to guide students to memorize the history, value current peace, create the future and shoulder the historical responsibility of national rejuvenation.

The students said excitedly that watching the grand event had given them a deeper understanding of the tremendous sacrifices made by their forerunners for national independence and liberation. As young people in the new era, they are determined to honor the legacy of the martyrs by integrating their patriotism, aspiration for national strength, and commitment to serving the country into their daily studies and lives. They pledged to forge ahead with perseverance and contribute their youthfulness to realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

The university set up a main venue and multiple branch venues for this centralized viewing session. The main venue was located at the Academic Exchange Center, while the branch venues were set up by individual departments and units. The audience at the main venue included the university leadership, members of the CPC University Committee Standing Committee, all Party members from the University Organs Party Committee, and student representatives.
