On the morning of November 5, a progress meeting for a series of activities commemorating the 110th birth anniversary of Bai Ruixi was held in the Administration Building at South-Central Minzu University (SCMU). Ma Yutang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of SCMU, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Heads of relevant units, including the Party and Administration Office, the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, the University Youth League Committee, the Office of Development Planning and Disciplinary Construction, the Institute of Scientific Research Development, the Office of Employment and Alumni Affairs, the Office of Logistics Service, the Editorial Office of Journal of SCMU, the Archives (University History Museum), and the School of Education, participated in the meeting.

To pay profound tribute to Comrade Bai Ruixi, one of the main founders of the re-established the SCMU, the university has systematically planned and formulated a work plan for activities commemorating the 110th birth anniversary of Bai Ruixi. The aim is to review the developmental journey of the university, summarize experiences in running and managing the institution, inherit and promote the spirit of educators, foster consensus among teachers and students, and drive the university's transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development. During the meeting, heads of relevant units reported on the preparations for the commemorative activities and put forward suggestions and opinions. After thorough discussion, all participants unanimously expressed their commitment to collaborating and solidly advancing all tasks.

In his speech, Ma Yutang affirmed the implementation plan for the activities and the related suggestions, and put forward three requirements for the next steps: first, elevate the perspective and deeply recognize the significance of the commemorative activities, advance all tasks in accordance with laws and regulations, and with dedication and care, so as to effectively serve the overall development of the university's endeavors; second, clarify plans and assign responsibilities, define timelines and task divisions to ensure that all activities are completed on schedule and to a high standard; third, strengthen overall coordination, grasp the overall progress, ensure the follow-up extension of the activities, and promote the formation of a long-term mechanism for inheriting the university's spirit.
