In late January, the China Education Association for International Exchange released the list of 2025 National Social Practice Bases for Chinese and International Youth. Leveraging its Research Base for Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation, our University was successfully selected as one of 124 such bases nationwide.

The Social Practice Base for Chinese and International Youth is organized and implemented by the China Education Association for International Exchange under the auspices of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education. It aims to provide a practical platform for Chinese and international youth to gain in-depth understanding of China's fine traditional culture and contemporary development achievements.

This social practice base builds upon the distinctive advantages of the University’s interdisciplinary field of Studies of Community for the Chinese Nation. Utilizing its own resources and diverse formats, it organically integrates content related to cultural heritage, cultural dissemination, the community for the Chinese nation, and the community with a shared future for mankind across four dimensions: broadening knowledge horizons, enriching cultural literacy, enhancing communication skills, and fostering international understanding. Through dedicated efforts in constructing practical platforms, the base strives to create tangible experiences, evoke emotional resonance, and achieve effective outcomes, enabling Chinese and international youth to deeply appreciate the rich connotations and unique charm of the community for the Chinese nation, while enhancing international audiences' understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.

It is reported that the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges will align with the requirements for the Social Practice Base for Chinese and International Youth, continuously strengthening practical content, enriching the base’s offerings, and fully leveraging its educational function. This will help international students in China gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of a authentic and multi-dimensional China, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and other countries, and effectively share the story of the community for the Chinese nation with audiences both at home and abroad.
