On March 31st, the 2019 reprint index ranking jointly developed by the Academic Publication Evaluation Center, RUC and the Book and Newspaper Data Center of Renmin University of China was released. In 2019, 19 articles from the humanities and social sciences edition of SCMU’s journal were reprinted by the Reprinted Information Center of RUC, reaching a record high.

In the ranking of full-text reprinting of Comprehensive Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Humanities and Social Sciences Edition of SCMU’s journal ranks among the top 100 again, with the amount of reprinting ranking 53rd in China and the comprehensive index ranking 79th in China. In the Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Sponsored by Colleges and Universities, SCMU’s journal ranks 26th in China in terms of the amount of full-text reprinting, ranks 26th in China in terms of the reprinting rate, and ranks 38th in China in terms of the comprehensive index. In the Journal of Ethnology, SCMU’s journal ranks 2nd in terms of both the amount of full-text reprinting and comprehensive index.

In addition, the humanities and social sciences edition of SCMU’s journal ranks 26th in the amount of reprinting of Chinese Language and Literature Journals with 7 full-text reprints. In the reprinting ranking of ethnology in colleges and universities, the journal ranks second in terms of both the amount of reprinting and comprehensive index.

The evaluation results of reprinted newspapers and periodicals are published regularly in March every year, and this year marks the 20th anniversary. The reprint volume, reprint rate and comprehensive index of copied newspapers and periodicals have been regarded as one of the most important references for academic evaluation and scientific research assessment of humanities and social sciences by the academic and periodical circles.

Since the humanities and social sciences edition of SCMU’s journal was funded by the construction of famous journals of philosophy and social sciences in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, the journal has made due contribution to academic research and discipline construction. The record high ranking in reprinting index this time is a tribute to the remarkable achievements our journal has realized and its greater and greater academic influence. During the epidemic, the editorial staff insisted on working at home to ensure that the electronic version of the journal could be published on schedule.
