According to the statistics of the Library Periodical Information Retrieval Center of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, in 2020, 30 articles of the Humanities & Social Sciences Edition of the Academic Journal of SCMZU were reprinted by influential digests such as the Replicated Journals of Renmin University, Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, and China University Academic Abstracts, of which 17 reprinted by the Replicated Journals of Renmin University, 7 reprinted by China University Academic Abstracts, 2 reprinted by Chinese Social Science Digest, 3 reprinted by Xinhua Digest, 1 reprinted by Education Digest Weekly. The number of reprinted articles of SCMZU ranked first in the topic of “Research of Ethnic Issues” in the Replicated Journals of Renmin University, and ranked top among the academic journals of universities for nationalities nationwide and the academic journals of universities in the Nanjing University CSSCI.

The retrieval channel covers 128 humanities and social science topics of the Replicated Journals of Renmin University, 3 most influential digest journals, Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, and China University Academic Abstracts, 6 professional academic journals, including Academic Journal of Peking University (Overview of Academic Journal), Academics Academic Arguments, Higher Education Abstracts, Education Science Abstracts, History and Society (Abstracts), and Social Science Digest, and 5 newspapers, including Guangming Daily, Education Digest Weekly, Press Digest, Digest News, Social Science Newspaper, a total of 143 retrieval channels.

In recent years, the academic journal of SCMZU (Humanities and Social Science Edition) followed the main route of solidifying the awareness of a community of Chinese people, carefully studied and implemented the thoughts of Xi Jinping on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, deeply carried out Party history education, turning the learning and research effects into a high consciousness of “four kinds of awareness” and “four kinds of confidence”. It has organized contributions around key hot and difficult issues in the social and economic development of ethnic regions, been strict with the politics of contributions, centered on quality, and constantly solidified the foundation of its own development and improved its academic influence. It has been selected as a source journal for the Chinese Social Science Citation Index CSSCI (2021-2022), a core journal of the 2020 edition (9th edition) of the “General List of Core Chinese Journals”, a core journal of the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation (Journal A) of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journal, a core academic journal of RCCSE China (Class A), a national selective journal of social sciences of universities, the most influential academic journal of Hubei Province and an important reprint source journal for the “Replicated Periodicals” of Renmin University.
