To further implement the 10 Million Yuan Funding Studies Abroad Project and cultivate international talents, an information session was jointly held for undergraduate students by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Office of Academic Affairs, and all schools, introducing a selection process and funding policies to the students.
There were 20 short and long-term exchange programs for students, covering 14 universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Macao Special Administrative Region of PRC.
The information session attracted many students, who communicated with teachers and the students who have been once participated in the exchange program to learn about study abroad during the pandemic. It is reported that since the initiation of the project in 2019, SCMU has sponsored 237 undergraduates to 22 sister universities in 10 countries (regions) for long and short-term exchange study or premium online courses, and reimbursed 607 undergraduates’ IELTS and TOEFL examinations fees.
