On October 31, Hubei Provincial People's Government announced the 13th Hubei Provincial Social Science Excellent Achievement Award. SCMZU has won 21 scientific research achievements awards, including one first prize, seven second prizes and 13 third prizes, which is the largest number of SCMZU’s awards in Excellent Achievements in Social Science of Hubei province ever recorded.

SCMZU submitted 95 achievements for review. The achievement award is applied by teachers, and then reviewed by the school and the Hubei Provincial Social Science Federation at two levels. The whole process takes one month.

As a provincial award established by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, Hubei Provincial Social Science Excellent Achievement Award is the highest level award in the social science sector in Hubei Province, reviewed once every two years. The current selection, which was launched in January 2022, is to review the published achievements of Hubei Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences between 2019 and 2020. A total of 260 outstanding achievements stand out, including 25 first prizes, 85 second prizes and 150 third prizes.
