SCMU Secures Two Projects in the 2023 “14th Five-Year Plan” for Educational Science

SCMU has been honored with the approval of two significant projects in the “14th Five-Year Plan” for National Educational Science in 2023, as officially announced on September 6th. Professor Wei Licao from the School of Education leads the project titled “Research on Policy Optimization for the Introduction of Overseas Science and Technology Talents in Universities under a High-Level Open Pattern”, which has been designated as a national general project. Meanwhile, Associate Professor Zhang Chunzhi of the School of Marxism has been awarded a Ministry of Education key project for her research on “The Characteristics, Influencing Factors, and Educational Guidance of Contemporary Chinese Youth Values”.


These National Educational Science Planning Projects cover a broad spectrum of 15 disciplines, such as foundational educational theory, educational psychology, educational information technology, comparative education, and moral education, showcasing the diversity of educational fields.


For the year 2023, the “14th Five-Year Plan” for National Educational Science has approved a total of 524 projects, comprising 350 National Social Science Fund projects in education and 174 Ministry of Education projects, showcasing the plan’s extensive reach and impact.
