In April, representatives from world-class universities including Australia’s Monash University and the University of California, Berkeley visited SCMU to conduct student exchange program presentations and recruitment interviews, building direct bridges to prestigious global universities and comprehensively supporting students’ academic planning and career development.

On April 11, a delegation of three from Monash University visited campus, including Joel Robinson from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Jennifer Li from the Faculty of Education, and Guillermo Leguizamon from the Faculty of Science. They met with leaders of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office to discuss specific collaboration matters including faculty and student exchanges and joint training programs, and held a special information session on further study opportunities. The Monash representatives systematically introduced students to the university’s distinctive features, educational advantages, master’s program curriculum systems, application processes, and more. They subsequently conducted one-on-one recruitment interviews with students from ten SCMU schools including the School of Literature, Journalism and Communication, School of Computer Science, School of Life Sciences, and School of Economics, with some students receiving priority admission status on-site.

On April 16, Jenny Cornet-Carrillo, Associate Director of the International Exchange Program Department at UC Berkeley, and program officer Shannon Buckley-Shaklee visited campus. They provided a comprehensive introduction to the university, campus features, as well as course arrangements, program fees, application and admission processes for the Berkeley International Study Program. They conducted one-on-one interviews with students planning to study abroad in the Fall 2025 semester and offered detailed answers and guidance on application processes, admission criteria, and other concerns. UC Berkeley, with its top-tier academic resources and flexible curriculum design, provides SCMU students with a diversified platform for overseas exchange learning, helping them accumulate international experience.

Additionally, the university invited representatives from members of Australia’s Group of Eight prestigious universities, including the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales, as well as Swansea University, a member of the UK’s Russell Group, to hold a series of information sessions on campus. The university actively introduces resources from world-renowned institutions, not only providing students with diversified pathways for further education and creating seamless progression opportunities from undergraduate through doctoral studies, but also empowering students’ career competitiveness with a global perspective and promoting precise alignment between talent cultivation and the global job market.
