On May 25, CCTV “Xinwen Lianbo” aired the special report “New Thinking Leads New Journey: Joint Construction of Western Land-Sea New Corridor to Promote Higher-Level Opening-Up”, featuring an interview with Liu Wei, SCMU Class of 2000 alumnus from the School of Fine Arts and current Director of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor Logistics and Operations Organization Center.
In the interview, Liu Wei stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of directives on the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor have provided clear direction for regions along the route to jointly build, share, and form synergy in promoting development and opening-up. “We will continue to focus on enhancing logistics organization capabilities and strengthening coordinated industrial development, exploring institutional opening-up that advances both land and sea routes, so that the Western Land-Sea New Corridor can better serve the national overall opening-up strategy.”

According to the requirements of the “Western Land-Sea New Corridor Master Plan” approved by the State Council, Chongqing Municipality established the Western Land-Sea New Corridor Logistics and Operations Organization Center in June 2020, with Liu Wei serving as its director.
