In September 2025, Stanford University and the International authoritative academic publisher Elsevier jointly released the 2025 World's Top 2% Scientists List. A total of 19 scholars from our university were selected for the "Single-Year Scientific Impact List," with 7 of them also honored on the "Career-Long Scientific Impact List".
This list comprehensively evaluates nearly 7 million scientists worldwide from two dimensions: "career-long impact" and "single-year impact," spanning 22 major disciplines and 174 subfields, aiming to identify the top 2% of global scientific talents . Statistics show that in 2025, 31,685 Chinese scholars were included in the "Single-Year Scientific Impact List," while 12,374 made it to the "Career-Long Scientific Impact List" .
In terms of disciplinary distribution, the recognized scholars from our university are primarily concentrated in leading fields such as Materials Science, Chemistry, and Pharmacy, reflecting the institution's solid foundation in basic research and its sustained capacity for innovation . In recent years, the university has continuously increased research support, optimized evaluation mechanisms for scientific endeavors, and fostered a steady output of influential research achievements and leading talents, injecting robust momentum into its high-quality development .
