On September 30th, the Hubei Provincial People's Government issued theNotice on Commending the Awards for the 14thHubei Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award. Faculty from our university received a total of 18 achievement awards, including 7 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 8 third prizes. The number of first prizes ranked among the top in provincial universities, setting a historical best performance for the university in this award and fully demonstrating the university's strong capabilities and vigorous innovative vitality in the field of philosophy and social sciences research.
In recent years, the university has continuously deepened the reform of the scientific research system and mechanism, constantly optimizing the innovation ecosystem: strengthening top-level design, increasing policy support and funding, focusing on major basic theoretical issues and applied countermeasure research; cultivating talent foundations, vigorously introducing and cultivating high-level disciplinary leading talents and innovative teams, stimulating endogenous motivation for research; consolidating platform support, relying on national and provincial/ministerial key research bases to build interdisciplinary research highlands; promoting the transformation of achievements, closely linking academic research with policy advisory, cultural heritage, and social services, producing a series of landmark achievements with significant influence.
This abundant harvest of provincial social science outstanding achievement award is not only authoritative recognition of the academic contributions of our scholars but also strong evidence that the overall level of philosophy and social sciences research at the university has entered the“first echelon”of provincial universities. It marks a major breakthrough made by the university in serving national strategies, particularly in advancing theoretical innovation and practical exploration around the main line of forging a strong sense of the Chinese national community.
