On November 10, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially announced the list of high-quality courses for the 2025 "Master Teachers and Excellent Courses" program for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) talent training. Two courses recommended by SCMU—"Financial Management" and "AI-Enabled Chemical Laboratory Safety"—were successfully selected. The 100 chosen courses were meticulously screened through multiple stages, including public solicitation, local recommendations, entrepreneur evaluations, and expert reviews. The program aims to provide SMEs with free online learning resources to enhance their management capabilities and innovation-driven development.
The university has long focused on curriculum development to promote the deep integration of education and teaching with social needs. The selection of two courses vividly demonstrates the university's active commitment to social responsibility, serving national strategies, and contributing to local economic and social development.
Professor Su Yamin's course "Financial Management" centers on the four key areas of fundraising, investment, capital utilization, and distribution. It introduces concepts through concise case studies and enriches learning with a variety of practical examples, helping learners master hands-on financial management skills. Professor Chen Lianqing's course "AI-Enabled Chemical Laboratory Safety" addresses critical safety challenges faced by SMEs. It deeply integrates artificial intelligence technology with laboratory safety knowledge, constructing a targeted educational system described as "sowing–jointing–booting," which nurtures learners step by step. Both courses have been included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Master Teachers and Excellent Courses" repository. SMEs can access and study these courses online for free through channels such as the China SME Service Network, the "Enterprise Micro-Course" platform, and the High-Quality SME Grading and Cultivation Platform.
