On March 12, Clarivate released the latestEssential Science Indicators(ESI) statistics. The data show that our university’s agricultural science discipline has entered the global top 1% for the first time, marking that the research strength and academic level of our agricultural science have joined the ranks of high-level international disciplines, achieving a critical enhancement in international academic reputation and influence.
In this ESI edition, a total of 1,465 research institutions entered the global top 1% in agricultural science, with our university ranking 1,441st. The discipline has accumulated 226 papers indexed in ESI, with a total citation count of 3,888 and an average of 17.2 citations per paper (data period: January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2025). These figures fully demonstrate the solid academic foundation and outstanding research competitiveness of our university in this discipline.

Our university places great emphasis on the development of first-class disciplines. Currently, a total of seven disciplines have entered the ESI top 1%: chemistry, engineering, materials science, environment/ecology, computer science, pharmacology and toxicology, and agricultural science.
