On the morning of May 11, a delegation led by Zha Daolin, Secretary of the University Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department of Central China Normal University (CCNU), visited SCMU for a focused research and exchange on the course development of “Introduction to the Community for the Chinese Nation”. Ma Yutang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of SCMU, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. Li Conghao, General Party Branch Secretary of the College of Community for the Chinese Nation, presided over the meeting.
Ma Yutang extended a warm welcome to Zha Daolin and his delegation. He noted that CCNU and SCMU share connected academic origins and scholarly traditions, and have long maintained close cooperation in talent cultivation and disciplinary development. He remarked that this visit had opened up broader prospects for the two universities to continue their profound friendship and deepen collaboration. He pointed out that forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and advancing the construction of the Chinese national community are SCMU’s mission and defining characteristic. The university treats the development of the “Introduction" course as a "top priority” project, incorporating it into its overall development plan and talent cultivation framework. To this end, SCMU has established a Teaching and Research Center for “Introduction to the Community for the Chinese Nation”, forming an operational model characterized by “university-level coordination, center-level implementation, and school- and department-level collaboration”.
Zha Daolin spoke highly of the achievements SCMU has made in the development of the “Introduction to the Community for the Chinese Nation” course. He stated that SCMU’s experience and practices serve as a valuable reference for CCNU to further optimize its own development of the “Introduction to the Community for the Chinese Nation” course. He expressed hope that the two universities would continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as the innovative achievements of the Party’s ethnic theories, education for ethnic unity and progress, and research on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.

During the open exchange session, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including talent cultivation plans, student education and management, and “one-stop” community development.
After the symposium, Zha Daolin and his delegation visited SCMU’s Research Base for Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation, which was jointly established by four central departments — the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission. Heads from the publicity departments of the University Party Committee, united front work departments of the University Party Committee, offices of student affairs of the University Party Committee, and undergraduate schools of both universities, along with relevant officials from SCMU’s College of Community for the Chinese Nation, participated in the above activities.
