Three SCMU’s Projects Won Prizes in the 17th “Challenge Cup” Revolutionary Special Activity of National Contest

Recently, the offline final contest of 17th "Challenge Cup” revolutionary special activities of competition of extracurricular academic science and technology works of college students came to an end at Sichuan University, which was jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and All-China Students’ Federation. SCMU’s students had excellent performance, winning one second award and two third awards.


SCMU paid high attention to this revolutionary special activity, took it as the important part of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and the study and education of Party history, actively established many revolutionary special practice teams, in order to display Party’s revolutionary spirit by revisiting revolutionary footprints, tracing revolutionary memories, interviewing revolutionary characters, digging revolutionary stories and understanding revolutionary culture. After several selections, SCMU recommended 53 works to enter the provincial contest. In April, the result of provincial contest was released and SCMU’s 23 works were selected in national contest. After fierce competition, “Passing down Revolutionary Genes from Generations to Generations, and Visiting Old Frontier Soldier” won national second award, and “A Journey of Revolution” and “The Historical Memory and Times Value of Revolutionary Culture - Taking the Oral Interviews of Veterans Who Fought against the United States and Aided Korea as an Example” won national third award.


Since the implementation of this “Challenge Cup” revolutionary special activities in January, many young college students from all over the country have actively participated in it, and have created hundreds of thousands of practice results formed through deep understanding of revolutionary culture in practice, wherein more than 17000 works entered national final.

Second Award

Work Title: The Historical Memory and Times Value of Revolutionary Culture - Taking the Oral Interviews of Veterans Who Fought against the United States and Aided Korea as an Example

Participating Students: Ma Longtong, Sun Yueyue, Xia Heng, Xu Chi, Xiao Chunyan, Wang Yuhang, Lei Fangyuan, Cui Xingzhong, and Zhao Zheng
