On the afternoon of July 15, the signing ceremony between the School of Foreign Languages and the reporting group of air force veterans from the Central Theater of Operations was held on the co-building of a Party building activity base outside the campus. A delegation of around 30 teacher and student Party members from the School of Foreign Languages led by Bai Jiangyuan, the deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of SCMZU, attended the signing ceremony and carry out on-site teaching activities for the Party history education.

Zhang Youjun, the deputy director of the reporting group, delivered a speech. He affectionately introduced the development history of the reporting group of veterans and expressed a longing for the cooperation between both sides. The person in charge of the School of Foreign Languages said that they would explore and innovate in the construction practice and keep strengthening the vigor of Party building. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views.

Bai Jiangyuan expressed gratitude to the reporting group for their active involvement in the ideological and political work of SCMZU. He said, the reporting group had displayed their lofty quality in guarding their faith and trying to educate people with their concrete actions of “Following the Leadership of the Party for 35 Years” and “Trying to Be a Best Party Member”, and reflected their spirit of “Working Tirelessly and Persistently”. Such kind of spirit and the deeds of the veterans were vivid materials for SCMZU to launch Party history education among the teacher and student Party members as well as a spiritual power for them to study the Party’s history. Recently, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have released the “Opinions on Strengthening and Improving the Ideological and Political Work in the New Era” and raised requirements to “make a good use of various cultural facilities and battlefields at each level, and strengthen the construction planning and use management of various education and training bases and patriotism education bases for Party members at each level”. Next, the CPC Committee of the School of Foreign Languages will carefully fulfill the co-building agreement of Party building base that has been signed to keep strengthening and deepening the cooperation with the reporting group of veterans and turn the Party building base into a power house to promote the ideological and political work of SCMZU and the society.

Later, both parties held a signing and the opening ceremony of the Party building base. Zhang Youjun, the deputy director of the reporting group, and Dai Yingfeng, the CPC Committee secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, signed on the co-building agreement, while Zhang Youjun and Bai Jiangyuan unveiled the bronze plaque of “Party Building Base of the School of Foreign Languages of SCMZU”.

The teacher and student Party members carried out on-site teaching activities of Party history education at the honors room of the reporting group and reviewed the oath to join the Party. Zhang Youjun vividly shared the deeds of the veterans and reporting group for the veterans.

To co-build a Party building base with the reporting group is a measure adopted by the CPC Committee of the School of Foreign Languages to promote the ideological and political education among teachers and students based on the Party history education activities and combining the volunteer service and education of the Party, with an aim to solve the issues such as the singularity of Party building carriers and platforms and the urgent need to strengthen the education of the Party among the students of low grades and constantly promote the Party history education and improve the school’s Party building quality.
