Recently, the two-month online Chinese teaching internship practice for the major of international education of Chinese language of the School of Literature, Journalism & Communication was concluded, which had been recognized by various parties. The program was led by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, while the School of Literature, Journalism & Communication was responsible for the online teaching of Chinese language for the International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages.

In order to do well in the foreign teaching practice, the School of Literature, Journalism & Communication organized 58 students and 3 teachers to the Chinese classrooms of International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages, who carefully designed teaching plans and smoothly finished the online Chinese language teaching for 273 students of Kazakhstan. The program had solved the internship difficulty for the students majoring in international Chinese language education, and helped the students of Kazakhstan to improve their Chinese proficiency and thus received unanimous recognition from the teachers and students of the International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages.

Sha Wulie, the president of the International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages, spoke highly of the program and said, “Thanks for the assistance from SCMU. Under the tutoring of students from SCMU, our students have greatly improved in their Chinese proficiency, and the students and their families are quite satisfied.”

Aili Mire, a translation major of the International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages, said, “With the help of internship teachers of SCMU, we’ve learned pure Chinese. The teachers are very gentle and patient, who will explain the difficulty points in the class again and again, and after the class will encourage us to practice the speaking of Chinese actively. I like the culture lesson of the teachers very much, which has made me perceive the wonderful fun of Chinese culture.”

The International Institute of Kazakh-Chinese Languages is the first overseas internship base of Chinese language education of SCMU as well as an important channel for SCMZU to serve the construction of the BRI. Since it was established in 2019, SCMU has cultivated nearly 500 Chinese language talents for it.
