Vocational Training for Tibetan Students in Wuhan Started

In order to study and implement the spirit of the Central National Work Conference, implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection in Tibet, and boost the socio-economic development in Tibet, Hubei Association of Tibetan Assistance and Construction Workers and our univeristy jointly organized the special vocational skills training class for Tibetan students in Wuhan. On the morning of October 10th, the training class started in SCMU. Tan Huizai, president of Hubei Association of Tibetan Assistance and Construction Workers; Duan Chao, vice president of SCMU and other leaders attended the opening ceremony.


In his welcome speech, Duan Chao pointed out that the training class was a practical measure for implementing the university's teaching and research in Tibet, and also an effective measure for promoting the socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas. He hoped that through this training, relevant parties would promote the in-depth cooperation between the university and the Association for the sake of talents training and social development in ethnic minority areas. He asked the students to study hard, think actively, broaden mind and achieve good learning results.


Tan Huizai introduced the general situation of the Association, and expressed thanks to SCMU for our strong support for this training class. He emphasized the importance of offering this training class and presented three demands: first, improving political position and unifying ideological understanding; second, improving learning ability and completing all the training courses; third, strengthening safeguarding measures and ensuring training quality. He hoped that all students would study more actively and gain a thorough understanding of the training courses.


This training class is held with the cooperation between the School of Continuing Education of SCMU (National Cadre Training Center) and the Hubei Association of Tibetan Assistance and Construction Workers, with vocational skills training as the main content and students in school as the trainees. A total of 48 university students from Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Wuhan University of Technology, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan University of Bioengineering and SCMU attended the training class.
