On the afternoon of March 13th, the 11th "Daohang Cup" teaching seminar, organized by School of Marxism, was held online. Deans of Schools of Marxism of Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan University of Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Huazhong Agricultural University, Hubei University of Technology, Wuhan Textile University and Wuhan Institute of Technology; Huang Yingxin, Dean of Academic Affairs Office of SCMZU; Yang Jinzhou, Dean of School of Marxism of SCMZU; and Zhang Taohua, Deputy Dean of School of Marxism of SCMZU , attended the meeting.

Yang Jinzhou delivered a speech to introduce the history, concept, mode and social influence of "Daohang Cup". He said that this teaching seminar aims to sum up the experience, give play to the advantages of each university, innovate the forms of activities, and discuss the plan for the 11th "Daohang Cup" activity.

Huang Yingxin said in his speech that "Daohang Cup" is a useful exploration of the teaching mode of ideological and political courses in SCMZU. After ten years of development, it now has a great influence and has benefited all walks of life. It has become an important education brand of School of Marxism and of SCMZU. SCMZU has applied for the Hubei Teaching Achievement Award with the educational achievements it has made in the previous activities.

Zhang Taohua introduced the preliminary plan of "Daohang Cup" activity this year. 11 colleges and universities will jointly hold the activity this year with the theme of "Celebrating the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead Together". The activities mainly include the case analysis contest on the Two Sessions, the classic literature speech contest, the poster design contest, the micro-video contest with the theme of “CPC in My Heart”, and the contest of preaching Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Experts attending the seminar fully acknowledged the excellent educational effect and social response of the 10th “Daohang Cup”, unanimously agreed on the theme of "Celebrating the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead Together", and discussed how to design sub-activities with the same theme, how to launch more characteristic activities based on the actual situation of each university, how to expand the coverage and participation of the activities, how to promote interaction among universities, and how to prevent and control the epidemic.

It is reported that the Organizing Team will take in the opinions and suggestions of the participating experts to optimize the activity plans, strengthen coordination and cooperation, start the various activities as soon as possible, and ensure the success of the 11th “Daohang Cup”.
