On the evening of September 14th, the Yangtze River Culture and Art Season officially launched in Wuhan, with 60 students from SCMU participating in the opening ceremony performance.

The Yangtze River Culture and Art Season is a prestigious event guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the China Writers Association. It is jointly hosted by the Hubei Provincial Government, the Yangtze River Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, and the China Three Gorges Corporation. This season serves as both a cultural and artistic celebration of the Yangtze River region and a significant platform for economic collaboration.

SCMU students took part in the “Yangtze River Light Show”, a centerpiece of the opening ceremony. They joined a thousand-strong choir comprising students from 12 Wuhan universities, gathering at the Yangtze River Crossing Museum on the Hankou riverside. Together, they performed the classic song “Ode to the Yangtze River”, expressing their deep affection for the iconic waterway in their own unique way. Set against a backdrop of dazzling lights, the innovative laser show and the passionate rendition of “My Motherland” created a spectacular scene.
