The ceremony began with participants singing the national anthem and renewing their Party membership oath. In his opening address, Zhang Peng used the Monument to the People’s Heroes as a spiritual reference point, calling on attendees to remember the nation’s historical struggles and cherish today’s hard-won prosperity. He encouraged participants to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to life sciences research, honoring the past while safeguarding the future.

The event consisted of two main segments: recitations and reading reflections, focusing on revolutionary classics and Party history. Student Party members in groups recited selected revolutionary maxims, presenting pieces such as “Tribute to Century-old China” “The Blooming Flower of Ethnic Unity” and “Song of National Unity”. Their performances were passionate and authentic, delivered with rhythmic appeal and emotional resonance.

Zhong Wenlin, a student Party member who participated in the event, reflected, “This recital has made me deeply aware of our significant responsibilities as youth of the new era. We must follow the example of our predecessors, remember our history, and carry forward the revolutionary spirit. Moreover, we must take concrete actions to promote interaction, communication, and integration among all ethnic groups, collectively contributing to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation”.
