On the morning of November 2nd, the opening ceremony for the Shengfan Experimental Class was held in Building 16 at SCMU. Attendees included Liu Qingyu, Executive Vice President of Shengfan Group, Vice President Jin Zhenbing, representatives from the Human Resources and Research Departments, SCMU’s Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Song Fajun, Director of Academic Affairs Hu Junhao, and leaders and faculty from the School of Electronic Information Engineering, along with all students of the Shengfan class. The ceremony was hosted by Wei Dajiang, Party Secretary of the School of Electronic Information Engineering.

Song Fajun warmly welcomed the leaders from Shengfan Group, emphasizing the importance of deepening industry-education integration in response to the evolving electronic information sector. He highlighted the role of enterprises in enhancing talent development through modern industry-academy partnerships. Shengfan Group, a leading energy metering service provider in Hubei, has consistently aligned with industry talent needs, fostering high-quality talent growth through collaboration and openness. The collaboration with Shengfan Group to launch the Shengfan Experimental Class aims to enhance the university’s talent cultivation and societal service capabilities, building a high-level industry talent training community.

Liu Qingyu noted that university-enterprise collaboration is a key initiative promoted by government bodies to integrate education, technology, and talent development. The class at SCMU seeks to address urgent talent needs and leverage the university’s research strengths to overcome critical technical challenges, thereby strengthening the company across various sectors. Students are expected to gain early exposure to modern corporate management and develop solid skills for their future careers.
Yang Chunrong, Dean of the School of Electronic Information Engineering, introduced the class structure and student profiles. Hu Junhao presented appointment letters to corporate mentors, including Wang Wei, Dean of Shengfan Research Institute, and other representatives. Jin Zhenbing awarded the class flag to the Shengfan Experimental Class. All students took a solemn oath, and the first class commenced under the guidance of corporate mentors. After the ceremony, Shengfan Group representatives toured the school’s laboratories and held discussions. Both parties expressed their commitment to further enhancing the talent training mechanism, creating a more efficient and competitive model to strengthen the foundation of university-enterprise talent collaboration and support innovation in industry.
