School of Fine Arts Hosts Campus Art Education Activities and Digital Technology Culture Festival

On April 2, the “AI Creates Unlimited, 3D Draws the Future” campus art education activities and National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition Digital Technology Culture Festival were held in Teaching Building 12. The event was organized by the School of Fine Arts, the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Ethnic Art, and Optics Valley Art Gallery, with guidance and technical support from the National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition Organizing Committee and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) China. Through cross-boundary integration of digital technology and artistic creation, the event showcased young students’ artistic potential and innovative vitality in the digital field, with nearly a thousand faculty and students participating in interactive experiences.


The activity centered on “Art + Technology”, featuring sections including AI laptop interactive experiences, digital workshop model demonstrations, and AI lecture halls. Based on different functions and application scenarios, the venue was divided into multiple experience zones covering computer modeling, virtual reality, 3D modeling, animation design, and three-dimensional software programming, showcasing multiple software programs and electronic products equipped with cutting-edge digital technology. Faculty and students personally experienced the charm of digital technology and felt the latest achievements and practices in digital innovation.

In the AI lecture hall, Wang Shuyue, Deputy Director of the Central China Region for the National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition Organizing Committee, provided a systematic interpretation of the competition’s core rules. He analyzed in depth the workflow of AI technology in video innovation and discussed innovative application scenarios of DeepSeek in three-dimensional digital design through practical examples.

The National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition, as an event on the national university discipline ranking list, consistently adheres to the national innovation-driven development strategy, focusing on the integration of digital and real economies. This Digital Technology Culture Festival showcased outstanding works from previous competitions, promoting faculty and students’ understanding and practice of integrated applications of 3D and AI technologies, injecting new momentum into the innovative development of digital technology at the university.
