On September 28th, the award ceremony for the National Finals of the 4thNational College Digital Trade Comprehensive Ability Competition was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The joint team of Chinese and international students formed by the School of Economics and the International Education College of our university won the national champion and was awarded the First Prize (ranking first overall) in the Silk Road E-commerce Competition for International Students in China. Teachers Zhao Nan and Chen Xueqi received the "Excellent Instructor" Award. The university received the Excellent Organization Award.
This year's Silk Road E-commerce Competition for International Students in China used the cross-cultural perspective of international students as a bridge, focusing on the interactive exchange between Chinese culture and the civilizations along the“Belt and RoadInitiative”, exploring paths for digital technology to empower cultural heritage and innovation entrepreneurship. The team from our university chose“Digital Life”as their topic, relying on the theoretical knowledge of team members in International Economics and Trade and International Chinese Education, combined with cross-cultural communication practice skills, systematically presenting the story of international students in China and Chinese students jointly engaging in innovation and entrepreneurship in China. The team was led by Zhang Yuxiang as captain, with TRAN THI LY NA as the Chinese presenter for the international students; other team members included PHAM THI MINH CHAU and Zhu Yaqi. The team was invited to present its work at the award ceremony, garnering widespread attention from the audience.

As the national champion of the Silk Road E-commerce Competition for International Students in China, the team was invited to the Zhejiang International Film and Television Center to participate in a live interview for the programI Speak for My Hometown. Team member TRAN THI LY NA introduced her study and life in Wuhan and shared information about Vietnamese specialty foods and cultural landscapes.

It is reported that this year's competition featured 4 categories, with 527 universities, 3,689 teams, and 18,308 participants from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China, including international students from 42 countries. In addition to winning the first prize in the Silk Road E-commerce Competition for International Students in China, two teams of Chinese students from the School of Economics of our university both won national second prizes in the 1688 College Students’AI Entrepreneurship Competition. Relevant teachers stated that this competition reflects the implementation results of the deep integration of teaching and practice and the organic combination of professional education with artificial intelligence technology at the university, providing more practical experience and effective pathways for Chinese and foreign students to engage in cross-cultural communication and promote interdisciplinary cooperation.
