On April 25, the on-site final of the 6thHubei Provincial Colloge Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition, guided by the Department of Education of Hubei Province, hosted by the Hubei Association of Higher Education, and organized by the University, concluded at the University. A total of 275 participating teachers and teams from 61 universities in the province took part.
The competition, themed “Promoting Teaching Innovation, Cultivating First-Class Talents”, closely aligned with the goals of building a strong education nation, and featured nine tracks: Emerging Engineering, New Medicine, New Agriculture, New Liberal Arts, Foundational Courses, Curriculum-based Political and Ideological Education, Industry-Education Integration, Artificial Intelligence, and Experimental Teaching. Participating teachers fully demonstrated their universities’ explorations and practices in teaching concepts, content and methods, and assessment approaches through forms such as classroom teaching video recordings, innovation achievement reports, and on-site presentations on teaching design innovation.
As the organizer of the competition, the University placed great emphasis on event organization, established a dedicated preparatory work body, broke down tasks into detailed divisions, strengthened service guarantees, and ensured the orderly progress of the competition. A relevant university official stated that hosting the competition not only affirmed the University’s teaching organization capabilities but also built a high-level learning and exchange platform for faculty across the province. The University will take this competition as an opportunity to further deepen education and teaching reform, promote the translation of teaching innovation achievements, and continuously improve the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation.
It is noted that the National College Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition is a national-level university faculty teaching competition guided by the Department of Higher Education, MoE and hosted by the China Association of Higher Education. It has been successfully held five times since 2020, aiming to promote teaching innovation and cultivate first-class talents. The outstanding participants of this provincial competition will represent Hubei Province in the national competition.
