At 9:00 a.m., the policy briefing at the main venue kicked off on schedule in the Academic Auditorium, with high-definition live streaming available online. Delivering the opening remarks first, Qin Rui outlined the university’s history and overall profile. He welcomed prospective students and their parents to experience the charm of the campus beside Nanhu Lake in person through Open Day. On behalf of SCMU, he extended a sincere invitation to all college-entrance-exam candidates, looking forward to meeting them at South-Central Minzu University this golden September to embark on a new chapter of life together.

Huang Benjin, Director of the Undergraduate and Pre‑University Admissions Office under the Undergraduate School, interpreted the university’s 2026 admissions policies and key highlights. Representatives from the School of Literature and Journalism, School of Management, School of Life Sciences, School of Pharmacy, School of Electronic Information Engineering (School of Robotics), and School of Biomedical Engineering gave special presentations respectively on disciplinary and program development, talent‑training outcomes, and institutional strengths of their respective schools. External further‑education specialists delivered keynote talks on college‑application strategies and risk‑mitigation approaches, offering practical guidance for candidates to make informed application decisions.

A large‑scale college‑entrance‑exam application consultation fair was held concurrently at the Nanhu Playground. Participating universities spanned 21 provinces and municipalities across China as well as overseas jurisdictions. They included all “Double First‑Class” universities within Hubei Province such as Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, prestigious out‑of‑province institutions including Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Tongji University and Nanjing University, alongside selected special‑category institutions and overseas universities, forming a multi‑tiered consultation network with broad geographical coverage. All undergraduate and pre-university admissions colleges of our university set up booths, providing one-on-one targeted answers to core concerns of candidates and parents, including institutional features, program strengths, admission requirements, training models, career prospects, and scholarship and financial-aid policies. Many candidates and parents commented that face-to-face consultation proved more intuitive and efficient than online research, and patient, detailed responses from faculty members effectively resolved their application-related uncertainties.
