On the afternoon of July 9, the send‑off mobilization meeting for SCMU delegation to the 11th Hubei Provincial Traditional Sports Games of Ethnic Minorities was convened. Li Hongyan, Member of the Standing Committee of the SCMU Party Committee, Vice‑President and Head of the Delegation, members of the School of Physical Education leadership team, as well as team leaders, coaches and athletes for nine competition events attended the meeting. Hong Shengzhi, Party Secretary of the School of Physical Education and Deputy Head of the Delegation, presided over the mobilization meeting.

Hao Jiachun, Dean of the School of Physical Education and Deputy Head of the Delegation, first reported on the formation of the university delegation, along with pre‑competition closed‑door training arrangements, routine drills and event preparation progress. He clarified competition objectives and key training priorities for the Games.

All participants then watched a highlight video showcasing the team’s training sessions. Xiao Guangyuan, athlete representative, and Jin Ning, coach representative, delivered commitment speeches respectively.

Li Hongyan delivered the mobilization address. She stressed that the Hubei Provincial Traditional Sports Games of Ethnic Minorities constitutes a vital platform for promoting ethnic culture and advancing ethnic unity. She proposed three expectations for all faculty and athletes. First, endure high‑temperature weather, uphold sportsmanship and train diligently. It is imperative to improve scientific training standards, foster teamwork, strive tenaciously and never give up. Second, deliver solid performance and demonstrate fine sportsmanship, boost exchanges and advance ethnic solidarity. All shall strictly abide by competition rules, respect referees and opponents, and exhibit sound ethics and civility. Participants should leverage the Games as a vehicle for extensive exchanges, interaction and integration among all ethnic groups, act as ambassadors for ethnic unity and progress, and strive to be defenders and practitioners of the sense of community for the Chinese nation. Third, enforce discipline and prioritize safety. During the Games, all athletes shall follow unified instructions and raise safety‑protection awareness. Team leaders and coaches must earnestly fulfil their responsibilities to ensure orderly participation and the safe return of the whole delegation.
